(More customer reviews)I collect Pistoulet and have yet to find a practical glass or cup. I do not use these much because they are hand painted and cannot be put in the dishwasher. In addition they are very thin and fragile. I have broke several just from hand washing them. Don't bother with Pistoulet's plastic tumblers because I have not even had them for a year and they all had to be thrown out. They crack and split in the dishwasher. Then they leak and look awful. I wish Pfalzgraff would make a nice heavy tall glass and juice glasses in the Pistoulet pattern. My friend collects an older garden type pattern and has so many beautiful, practical and durable glasses.

(More customer reviews)This was great and effective to use until It broke while juicing ~ the 20th lime. Also is too small to handle a large healthy lime. Ultimately there were tons of air pockets in the die-cast aluminum (visible once broken) and the handle snapped including a small piece of the concave cup. I'm not sure that most people would have the strength to break this juicing a lime, but that said, they would also no be able to juice a medium to large lime.

(More customer reviews)Overall impression was that it was of fair quality, but unsuited to my needs. I have a lot of grapefruit to juice, and this is not a good tool for that job. The juicing dome, cup and presser cone were too small for all but the smallest grapefruit. Consequently, using this juicer left about 1/3 of the available juice behind. (I measured the volume the juicer squeezed out - then used a small electric juicer to extract the remaining juice. The first squeeze extracted about a cup. The second juicer extracted about half a cup.) Additional pressure did not help the situation because the part of the fruit with the juice was not getting pressed.
The results were much different with oranges. This press extracted virtually all of the available juice from medium-size oranges. Were I only dealing with small citrus, this press would probably have been quite satisfactory for moderate use.
I would characterize this as a satisfactory juicer for medium-sized oranges, lemons and limes for periodic use. It is not suitable for any but the smallest grapefruit, nor do I believe it would hold up under heavy use, but beyond its shortcomings as a grapefruit juicer, it may be all you need.

(More customer reviews)I don't know why some people don't like this item. I picked a bunch of oranges just finished "juicing" about two gallons orange juice without a hitch. Once you understand what this item is designed to do and you don't try to do more... like juicing a watermelon then it's GREAT! I think the main problem some people have is this thing has torque and if you try to grind on it, it will spin. I've seen the videos and read the negative comments. Come on guys, read the instructions and use some common sense! How many hands and how much pressure do you need to juice half an orange. Let the machine do it's job. If starts to move then hold on to the base with your free hand. Oh, and make sure you put the cord through the little notch in the base and it sits flush. This thing also has a auto-reversing feature that is trick but what I really like about this item is the "washing machine spin". Talk about getting every last drop. Some people don't like pulp, I like pulp... it's an ORANGE! Jeese guys, this is as fresh as your going to get. Juice, pulp, seeds, core, bugs, and what ever else in that orange will get "juiced" and end up in your glass. This is as fresh and natural and you can get. You don't like pulp... tough. Some people whine about the spout, it's a spout, get a small glass under it (I used a 2 cup measuring glass) and catch the juice! Yes it will clog up after about a cup or two, it's called "PULP". Clean it out and get back to juicing. Some people complain about too many parts to clean, all three (3) of them... get a life. Heck, I like this item so much and at such a great price I'm going to order two more just because I can. I don't know of another citrus juicer out there with this auto-reversing and spin feature for $12.00 refurbished.

(More customer reviews)I agree these are a great value and look good too. The inner side of the rim is a little more square than the outer, which is about what you can expect at this price and it is fine for me.
The problem I have is that we have already broken 2 or 3 glasses just separating them after they had been stacked (only 2 high). They are too fragile that way and shouldn't be marketed as stackable if they are not really stackable.

The manufacturer calls it slow, but I saw it as very powerful. By the time I juiced my second lemon, I was a pro happily throwing out completely empty half lemon rinds. It costs a little more than some of the other models, but it's also built to last. I'll probably end up having to put it in my will.

The hard plastic cap rotates freely, and allows pouring without removal. This cap doesn't provide an air-tight seal (the cap will leak if you need to shake the contents). (More customer reviews)I read the negative review (above); with due respect, I don't agree. I have the lemon and lime models. I have made a kergillion Margaritas with these. I used to use the twist kind that collects juice in a bowl below - these pale next to the Mexican beauties in price and function. With respect to the claim that pulp and juice get caught in the partially folded-over skin; not so. I tested this myself by fully unfolding the skin and squeezing again - only a drop or two remained from the first pass. So I say: when one is enjoying juice, one should lighten up on the obsessive/compulsive notions and just have some fun. Enjoy!

I gave it a four because it is so plain looking and the inside of the base is not parallel to the bottom - like it cooled at an angle. But the price was great and these should last us a long time.
