Organic Sprouting Seeds Red Cabbage 16 Ounces Review

Organic Sprouting Seeds Red Cabbage 16 Ounces

Very easy process: Use a mason jar. You don't need the lid, just the
seal. You'll also need a nylon (cheesecloth, etc) and
a rubberband.
Put a couple tablespoonfuls of seeds in the jar and fill it
with water. Then Cover the end of the jar with nylon, put seal
on and put a rubberband around it. Now swish the water around
to get all the seeds wet and dump the water out through the nylon.
Kind of shake the jar to spread out the seeds on the bottom (actually,
the side) of the mason jar. So the mason jar will be laying lengthwise
on your coutertop. Twice a day fill the jar with water , swish, and
dump out the water; then redistribute the seeds again so they're spread
out along the mason jar. Put in front of a sunny window a few hrs each
day. Ready to eat in about 5 days. So much nicer than buying them at the store and wondering how long they've been sitting on a shelf.

V8 Juice, 32-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 8) Review

My favorite easy healthy meal is to microwave pasta in V8 juice instead of water to cook it - no need to add oil or anything else. In the time it takes the pasta to cook, the V8 becomes the consistency (and flavor) of spaghetti sauce. Tastes just fine like that, or you can add some Italian seasonings to it for variety.

The V8 brand's commitment to innovation has led to the development of many new products that meet consumers' changing taste, health and lifestyle needs. "For 75 years, V8 juice has been helping people to live healthful, balanced lifestyles by providing convenient vegetable nutrition," said Dale Clemiss, Vice President, Beverages, Campbell Soup Company. "Our mission is to continue making it more enjoyable for people to get the vegetables they need." The original V8 100% Vegetable Juice on shelves today includes the same eight vegetable juices it did in 1933: tomatoes, carrots, celery, beets, parsley, lettuce, watercress and spinach. In 2007, as part of Campbell's commitment to health and wellness, original V8 100% juice was reformulated to address one of today's most pressing health concerns — heart disease. The sodium content in V8 100% juice was reduced by 19 percent, making it heart-healthy. Over the last 75 years, the product lineup has grown to include more than 20 varieties, from twists on the traditional "red juice" such as Low Sodium V8 and Spicy Hot V8, to unique fruit and vegetable juice blends. In fact, Campbell found many consumers wanted a convenient way to get more vegetables in their diet but preferred a "sweeter" taste, so its product innovation team worked to create a solution. In 2006, Campbell introduced V8 V-Fusion juice — which delivers vegetable nutrition that tastes like fruit and offers a full serving (half cup) of fruit and a full serving (half cup) of vegetables in every 8-ounce glass. Like the original juices, V8 V-Fusion is 100% juice and is available in several varieties including unique on-trend flavors such as Acai Mixed Berry, Pomegranate Blueberry, Strawberry Banana and Peach Mango.

I bought it when it was 27 bucks, and it went down to 19.11 with subscribe and save 2 days later. Kind of disappointing, but it was so good I had to buy another case.
It really does taste good and it's filling, would probably substitute a meal if you wanted it to.

At the VA hospital, my dietician asked me to revise my diet. Most of the diet is no problem, but increasing vegetables can be a big problem. I need five to seven servings of vegetables each day. To meet all the "healthy" requirements, I have to eat too much. I have forced myself to eat it all and I end up feeling stuffed. Most days the best I can do is 4 servings.
I discussed this with my dietician and she said I could drink vegetables for some of my servings. V8 vegetable juice qualifies as a vegetable serving. Somehow its is like that commercial where Bill Cosby says "there is always room for Jell-O,".I can drink an eight ounce glass of V8 and not feel stuffed. A side benefit is that it tastes good.

V8 contains wonderful ingredients: calories 50; Sodium 140 mg; Potassium 820mg; Fiber 2g; Sugars 8g; Protein 2g. Percent daily value: Vitamin A 40%;Vitamin C, 120%; Calcium 2%; Iron, 2%; Vitamin C, 120%; Calcium 2%, iron, 2%. I try to purchase the low sodium bottle.
So, with V8, I increase my vegetables and eat healthy. I highly recommend V8 vegetable juice for daily consumption.

I'm very pleased with this juice, it's a delicious blend of carrot and fruit juices. So it's not too sweet and more filling than typical fruit juices. The 4.5oz size seems just about right. I'll definitely be reordering it in the future,,,,feel like this is sort of insurance to make sure one gets more vegetables in one's diet.

V8 Vegetable Juice, 12 oz. plastic bottle (12 pack) Review

V8 Vegetable Juice, 12 oz. plastic bottle (12 pack)

While most members of my family like orange juice, it's much too sweet for my taste, so for a bit of extra Vitamin C, I opt for a fresh orange instead.
And when it comes to my juice drink, I've always liked the flavor of V-8. Not only does it taste good to me, since it's made from tomatoes and seven other vegetables--beets, celery, carrots, lettuce, parsley, watercress and spinach--it's healthy, also. While I get a hint of all those veggies in my V-8, the celery flavor seems dominant to me ... a flavor I love, incidentally. Whether this is unique with me, I have no idea. It's something I don't discuss with friends. All I know is that I can't help but smile as it slides down my throat. Yum ...
Another thing I like about V-8 is that since the kids in the family don't like it (sorry, Campbell's), I never have to worry about running out. But what I don't like about it is that it's high in sodium, thus requiring that I limit myself to 4 ounces every other day.
I know! I know! They make low-sodium V-8, but I've tried it and it's not for me. Just doesn't taste the same! However, in addition to my favorite, the Original, Campbell's also makes several other varieties: Spicy, Lemon, Picante, Low-Sodium, and Organic. I'm also a person who likes "lemon" flavor (such as lemon-meringue pie), so I plan to try the lemon soon.
There's something for everybody, so try it! You might like it! I certainly do! (Since I love the taste of this product so much, I feel guilty giving it a four-star, but I had to knock off one point due to the high-sodium factor.)
