(More customer reviews)This juicer is extremely adept at extracting juice from wheatgrass, celery, grapes (who knew making your own grape juice was SOOOO good), and all manner of other vegetables. In the case of wheatgrass, it is remarkably easy to crank. It sometimes takes some extra effort, but it is still quite easy. There are two things that have made this product a little less than perfect. One, you have to find a low cup. There was hardly any room underneath for anything we had in the manner of bowls. We eventually found a orange juicer, you know the ones made of glass with the mountain looking thing in the middle, that works good, plus it has a spout, so it is easy to pour. Two. Putting the thing together is difficult to figure out. The screen doesn't like to fit right, we got it in good a couple of times, except for once. Apparently it wasn't in right, becuase the screw was pressing on it and bent the little lip a bit. Everything works fine still, except it makes a scraping sound. But it was kind of stupid that they wouldn't make it easy to assemble every time. But other than those two problems, they probably wouldn't even be problems for someone who has a little more paticience than I do, it is a very good juicer. WAY better than any electric ones that I have tried. It also cleans really easy. It just takes a rinse, and sometimes a little rubbing to get the pulp out of the screen. I would prabably give it a 4.5 if I could. It isn't quite 5 worthy.

Norpro Glass Baster Review

Weston Cast Iron Wheat Grass Juicer Review

(More customer reviews)It's a good juicer. It's heavy, but it's cast iron so it's expected. I use it in my dorm for wheatgrass that I grow and it's great. Just make sure you wash it immediately, you wouldn't want it to get rusty, right?
All the parts work well. It even has an attachable rubber "foot" so you don't scratch things or maybe it's for better grip. I'm a 19 year old girl and I can crank it just fine.
It's not beautiful but it gets the job done. :)
I'm going to try apples and celery and other fruits and veggies sometime.

(More customer reviews)I am so glad I found this product!! Last summer I moved into a new place with a balcony and I put a few of my potted houseplants outside to spruce up the space. I also bought a couple new plants from different stores. When I brought the plants in for the fall/winter and after repotting some other plants, I ended up with fungus gnats. I'm not sure if they came from outside, the new plants, or the potting soil, but they soon spread to ALL of my houseplants (about 8).
After researching to find out what all these fruit-fly-like bugs were, I found out about fungus gnats and searched for natural ways to eliminate them. I tried repotting the top parts of the soil (some plants I completely repotted-but then I wasn't sure if the soil had eggs in it), I used lemon juice in bottle caps to trap the adults, and I tried letting the plant soil dry out for as long as possible, but the plants were suffering and the gnats kept multiplying! I then decided I needed poison, and bought different types of flying-bug sprays, but nothing worked, and I worried about spraying stuff in the air with my fish tank nearby.
My boyfriend said if I didn't get rid of the gnats, he would throw away all the plants :(, so I looked for solutions and found out about a product called Gnatrol. However, I believe Gnatrol is now unavailable, so GoGnats came up in searches and I took the plunge (I wish it was priced a bit lower). I mixed it with water (maybe more concentrate than I really needed, but I wanted to kill those bugs) and drenched every plant with it. I put all my plants in the bathtub and poured the mix through each plant until it flowed out the bottoms. Immediately there was a decrease in the amount of gnats, but a few were still flying around the next couple of days. So on the third day I did a second drench. And now, more than a week later, the fungus gnats are COMPLETELY GONE and my plants are healthy and perky.
My boyfriend and I are so happy!! It was a great purchase, and I still have a lot left over if I ever have another infestation of bugs (I think it can kill more than gnats). I also love how it's safer than toxic pesticides. Definitely a good choice!

(More customer reviews)This juicer is a very well made Heavy Duty unit. I just got this unit and juiced about 30 oranges with no problems. There is no aluminum on the machine. The part that touches the rind of the orange is steel and the strainer cone and funnel are Stainless Steel. The Stainless strainer cone and funnel are not extra heavy metal but they are very rigid and strong enough to do the job they were intended to do. This juicer is Large and Strong enough to Juice a large Grapefruit. I highly recommend this Juicer.

(More customer reviews)This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had!!! I love these jars so I ordered one for my mother in law for mother's day. When the jar arrived it was totally crooked!! The stand was crooked as well. I actually got out my measuring tape and it measured one full inch longer on one side. It was ridiculous!! I spent about 2 weeks trying to get them to respond to me so I could return or exchange the jar. They never did respond to me until I got paypal involved!! Then of course they responded and said that they would return the product if I promised not to leave bad remarks on their website. I packaged up the item and left it on my doorstep liked they asked me to do...I emailed Dean and let him know it was there....I have been emailing and leaving phone messages for about a month now and they still have not responded to me. I am not a difficult person to please. I have felt like their customer service has been horrible and I want to WARN everyone about throwing their money away...I am out 75 bucks...so I decided that I would go ahead and post as many comments on their site as I possibly can so that it reflexs badly on thier customer service!

pH Down 2 lb Review

(More customer reviews)This brand of pH down instructs the user to add a few crystals to lower pH a bit. I can't get it to work consistently. It will drop the pH very quickly, but it doesn't hold it long. A water tank will go to low, need a lot of mixing water to get it right (I am aiming for 5.5-6.5) then when I check it a couple hours later it is too high again. My time is too valuable to keep messing around with this brand, I am going back to a liquid formula that is more consistent.

(More customer reviews)While this pitcher is artistically pleasing, graceful and elegant, it is quite unfunctional. Contrary to the description, it does NOT fit in a refrigerator door (unless you have a giant commercial fridge!) It is much too tall to fit in a door rack or on a shelf, which means you can only use it lying flat - not a very good option because it takes up too much shelf space and is a spill hazard unless the lid is VERY firmly in place. I only chose this one because it is made from the "Safe" plastic, and was supposed to fit in the door. Also, it does not have a separate comatiner for your chopped fruits & veggies, so it really isn't an infusion pitcher like many others on the market. I'm disappointed in it, and would not recommend it for the purpose advertised.

Color like 1970's avocado appliances, makes me cringe a little. Design over all cheap looking. Made in China. Basic concept is good but room for much improvement. BPA free is the clear selling point, which all products should be as a standard. It is a weak system that allows products to be on the market without being BPA free. Deserves 2 to 3 stars as is.

When juicing, juice flies everywhere. And I mean everywhere. It's all from the spout.
If I don't cover the spout completely, I get carrot juice on my walls. It's not easy to cover the spout while operating the machine. I'm sure I could rig something up with enough thought, but the engineers should have done that.I also fine things get stuck in the chute often.
I would definitely NOT recommend this product.
