(More customer reviews)I am proud to say that I have been a previous owner of this type of glass.Unfortunately they were sent off to college with my brother.But these are really great because you can drop them and they dont break.Nice and heavy and very druable.But not too heavy to hold.They make a nice glass for a tall glass of iced tea in the summer.And any other time of the year.Definately a great buy!Luckily one was left behind so that is my favorite drinking glass and I use it constantly.

(More customer reviews)We've had a set of these for several years and just recently moved so we added on with this set. These glasses are heavy, well-made and solid. If you drop them, it's unlikely the glass itself will break (though it may break what it drops on, so be careful). The styling is simple, classy and can be used in just about every situation. These are sturdy glasses, so be prepared to have them for a while.

(More customer reviews)I was tired of glasses always breaking and having to replace them only to have them break again. Many times, getting water from the refrigerator would cause the glass to break right in my son's hand. It seems they were always so thin that with the least bit of pressure, they would crack or would crack or break in the dishwasher.
Then I ordered the Anchor Hocking Manchester/Tartan tumblers from Amazon. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! The glass is much thicker than the ones I had previously purchased in the stores and even though I intended to use them for everyday use, the beauty of the cut and design would be even fitting for a more elegant table. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean these will replace your Waterford glasses, but they certainly would look very well on any table.

(More customer reviews)My wife and I have been looking for some good, simple, sturdy glasses for a while, and we decided on these because of the simple design, clear glass, heavy base, and good size (15 oz). I was a bit nervous about having glasses shipped, but because of their excellent customer service I know that Amazon would replace any broken ones.
The glassed arrived very well packed in a thick cardboard box with good dividers between glasses. All of the glasses arrived fine, without any damage at all. Each glass had a bar code sticker on the bottom, but they all came off in the dishwasher.
The glasses themselves are very sturdy, hold the perfect amount of liquid, and have a simple & elegant design that we really like. The base is weighted, but I would not call them heavy.
Overall I feel these are an excellent value - 12 high quality glasses for a very reasonable price. If you are looking for a set of glasses I recommend that you give these a try.

Yes, they are classic "juice glass" size and will hold a perfect 6 oz serving of your favorite juice, with a little room to spare (I'm sure you could fill it all the way to the top to get your 7 oz quota in, if you must).
The pattern is attractive, deeply etched, and crystal-like, with a great no-slip gripping surface. They are also nicely hefty, so kids will have to work really hard to spill these "accidentally."
They're also made right here in the USA by Anchor Hocking.
Another great Amazon purchase!

(More customer reviews)Heavy base is nice - the grandkids didn't tip the glass over very easily! Very space conservative, although they do not stack. For servicability I would give it a five. I gave it a four because it is so plain looking and the inside of the base is not parallel to the bottom - like it cooled at an angle. But the price was great and these should last us a long time.
