(More customer reviews)I am proud to say that I have been a previous owner of this type of glass.Unfortunately they were sent off to college with my brother.But these are really great because you can drop them and they dont break.Nice and heavy and very druable.But not too heavy to hold.They make a nice glass for a tall glass of iced tea in the summer.And any other time of the year.Definately a great buy!Luckily one was left behind so that is my favorite drinking glass and I use it constantly.

Also, I have a problem finding a style of glass I like that will fit nicely in my upper dishwasher rack. Most have a bigger diameter, but this one did fit. I would reccomend.

Often I would find broken shards of the glass in the sink after I had finished doing the dishes. I didn't even have a dishwasher. I was washing them by hand. So, if you choose them.....wash with rubber gloves.....several pairs.

If you drop them, it's unlikely the glass itself will break (though it may break what it drops on, so be careful). The styling is simple, classy and can be used in just about every situation. These are sturdy glasses, so be prepared to have them for a while.

They are very heavy and durable. All the glasses in the set are pretty and functional. My mother had a set of these from Libbey also made in USA and they have lasted twenty years, in fact she is still using them. This set is highly recommended!

The beautiful sound it makes whenever a bink or a splash occurs is comparable only to the voice of Celine Dion.
The size is perfect for 12 oz Natural Lites and leaves just enough room for the sloppy pourers who manifest foam at the top.
Even if you are on the losing team, these goblets are so fashion friendly that slow drinkers can hang onto them while they chat it up with friends....until the next game.
Also recommended:

- 6 pack of New Castle (For the Bottle Caps -Perfect weight and aerodynamics)

He doesn't like the larger capacity drinking glasses that I use as they don't fit his hand well. These are, as Goldilocks would have said, just right. They fit smaller hands (he's 11 now), they don't carry too much at a time, they are surprisingly stable due to the heavy glass bottom and they're pretty cool looking as well with the bubble in the base. Ideal for smaller hands or smaller mouths and still a pleasure to look at.

If you were to drop one on the floor, your first concerns would be about your tile and getting your feet out of the way, rather than worrying about the glass. As for the dishwasher, these ones are ok, but the larger ones can be a problem with older machines.
Pricing: These, and other genuine Libbey glasses, are almost always available at dollar stores. We have purchased several in this style with different sizes; most are the 22oz size. Regardless, they are there, and they are inexpensive. Be sure to look for the cursive "L" on the bottom or "Libbey". They sometimes have similar glasses that scratch easily, are far less clear, and generally do not hold up as well.
Our glasses still look exceptional after many years of use. We also get people asking where we got them and commenting on how "industrial" they are. If your local dollar store does not have these, they are still well worth the price, especially with free shipping.

There is something so unique and elegant about the smokey black color and clean style. We have black leather furniture so they go nicely with our decor. I am hoping to find matching plates. Theses glasses are sturdy and heavy without being too heavy and are a good size and very functional. I would highly recommend them.

(More customer reviews)I agree these are a great value and look good too. The inner side of the rim is a little more square than the outer, which is about what you can expect at this price and it is fine for me.
The problem I have is that we have already broken 2 or 3 glasses just separating them after they had been stacked (only 2 high). They are too fragile that way and shouldn't be marketed as stackable if they are not really stackable.
