(More customer reviews)I do love this glass. It has a good weight, it is the right size, and it feels so elegant. The glass is a very comfortable shape, and the rim of the glass is not overly thick (though I did get one in my set that has a thicker rim than the others), which is something that is very important to me. Washing these glasses is very simple, as I said, the shape of this glass is very nice. They go through the dish washer beautifully too.
The one thing that I am not sure about is wether this is actually etched glass. Looking at the etching, it looks as if it may be actually adhered to the outer surface of the glass...kindof like corelle ware. If you look carefully, it looks as if the etching has an odd uniformity to it, remaniscant of a dot matrix printer, and a certain sheen very unlike frosted glass. The etching seems to be raised, not "etched" into the glass.
Now, I do not know much about glass etching, but as far as I know, it is achieved through an acid washing or abrassive (think something a bit like sand blasting) process in which the areas that are actually etched out of the glass are actually going to be slightly sunk INTO (recessed into the surface of) the glass, and not on top of it, and due to the nature of such a process, would not have any noticable patern difference in the surface of the etched areas (think frosted glass).
Therefore, I think that calling this product etched glass is a bit misleading. However, ignoring the technicality, this is an elegant glass, sturdy enough for daily use.

Bormioli Rocco Misura Carafe Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered 2 carafes about a month before Thanksgiving with the intention of using them at my Thanksgiving party. About 2 weeks later, I received a huge box with only one carafe inside. I'll review first the carafe and then the seller, Chefs.
The carafe is lovely, sturdy and functional, all you'd ever want in a carafe. I give the carafe 5 stars easily, though I deducted a star for the seller.
My problem came in dealing with Chefs, the seller. When I was shorted a carafe, I called Chefs to explain they'd made an error. No big deal, we all make mistakes. But the CSR did a horrible job in dealing with his company's mistake. At first, he refused to believe me. I asked to speak to his manager. He put me on hold for a good 5 minutes, then told me his manager wasn't available. So, I asked for the manager's voice mail, since the CSR was being difficult. All of a sudden, the CSR believed me and told me he'd ship me another carafe immediately. I finally received it about 3 weeks later and missing the event I'd ordered it for.
The carafe is worth every penny, but I'd really think twice about dealing with the company that sells it.

Juice Box Buddies - 1 pack Review

(More customer reviews)ordered this for my son so that he'd stop squeezing juice boxes/bags. That part of it works great and he holds the handles like a good boy should. However...the top is completely open and when he gets bored with his drink, he simply turns it over so the box falls out and he can squish it that way. It would be amazing if these had a little lid that closed over with a straw hole!
