It seemed strange at first, but after I used it the first time, I declared it the greatest invention since the mandoline v-slicer for vegatables! It's so simple - you just cut the lemon in half and squeeze. In seconds, you have a whole cup of juice sans seeds and pulp. I've just learned that it comes in lime and orange sizes as well... I might just have to order that orange juicer for my morning squeeze.

(More customer reviews)We have the orange, lemon, and lime squeezers. Ease of squeeze diminishes as size increases and fruit becomes firmer. An older, drier orange would be almost impossible for Hulk Hogan to get a drop out of. A small, juicy lime would be a whiz for an arthritic grandma.
Our objections are, the enamel peels off where the juice contacts it most strongly and repeatedly, so that bits of paint fall in your food preparations; the acid in the juice attacks the bare aluminum and causes pitting; waxy coatings from the fruit which build up on the inside surfaces of the juicers attract dirt and mildew and are virtually impossible to remove; and finally, the pin that holds the pieces together is steel and rusts.
Although these juicers get the juice out, we're now looking for an all stainless steel model with long enough handles so it doesn't take a lot of strength to juice a lemon, and doesn't shed paint and collect crud that can't be removed.

The enamel coating is both brightly colored and very easy to clean. Our previous metal squeezer had become seriously oxidized and pitted; this squeezer will definitely eliminate that. Stated simply, this is a great product!

(More customer reviews)I had the "regular" size juicer from this same company, which works fine. But I wanted a larger size one so that I can squeeze out more than just one or two servings. This one fits my need perfectly. I found this juicer to be the same high quality as the smaller one I had. There is no doubt that it is made of pure stainless steel. No rust, no scratches, even after many washing and scrubbing. The base is stable and heavy enough to withstand my force. This is important when I am doing a lot of squeezing. The top and bottom pieces fit well together. I didn't experience the problem the previous reviewer described. One needs to just slightly rotate the top piece so that it fits right over the notch. I found this quite intuitive, and actually not easy for me to miss-align the two pieces. Just like the smaller one, I am happy with this device. Except now I can make multiple servings without having to empty out the content frequently. This is very convenient and I highly recommend it for someone who needs to make juices for more than a couple people.

(More customer reviews)11/17/2010 UPDATE: After using the juicer a few times and getting the hang of how to best use it, I upgraded it to 5 stars from my previous review of 4 stars. If you fit the lemon half snugly into the opening, it works like a charm.... and you get quit a bit of juice.
It is quick and easy (does require some strength but most should have no problem), especially the clean up. A very nice product!

(More customer reviews)This was great and effective to use until It broke while juicing ~ the 20th lime. Also is too small to handle a large healthy lime. Ultimately there were tons of air pockets in the die-cast aluminum (visible once broken) and the handle snapped including a small piece of the concave cup. I'm not sure that most people would have the strength to break this juicing a lime, but that said, they would also no be able to juice a medium to large lime.

Norpro Stainless Steel Interchange Triple Juicer Review

(More customer reviews)I'll give it 5 stars for construction and finish, but only 1 star for design and functionality - that averages out to 3 stars. To put it bluntly, the darn thing just doesn't work very well.
The main problem is with the ribbed cones that are supposed to do the reaming and extract the juice - not only are the ribs too "dull", but the top is too rounded, so the fruit tends to slide off to the side when you push down on it, even if you twist at the same time. The unit is something of a "rattle-trap" as well - the cone sits loosely in the strainer, and the strainer sits loosely in the bowl, and even a slight misdirection of pressure can have unexpected consequences!
My old one-piece 69-cent plastic juicer, that I picked up at the supermarket, outperforms this thing by a wide margin. The plastic unit has sharp-edged ribs and a pointed tip, and extracts every last drop of juice with minimal effort. Guess I'll be sticking with that until something better comes along.

Mexican Restaurant Style Exprimadore Juice Press Review

(More customer reviews)This exprimadore (citrus press) is a solid, attractive manual tool that works effectively; I found it as easy to use as simple electric citrus juicers in which a citrus-half is manually pushed down onto a spinning juicing cone. Inexpensive electric juicers of this type tend to overheat and stop working when used heavily. The manual exprimadore is thus an interesting alternative to heavy duty electric juicers, which are more costly than the exprimadore. I've used this exprimadore on about 100 lime and lemon halves, and it seems quite sturdy.
With this said, the manufacturer of this model(Gonzalez) leaves surprising flaws in the product. The rubber feet were of very low quality, and mark the surface on which they are used. The press rocks about 1/8" because the four feet are not aligned. Finally, the actual parts that will contact the fruit halves arrived with a fairly tenacious film of machine grease; I used a Scotch-Brite scouring pad to clean it.

Returned to the store and got my money back. Guess I'll spend the money on a reputable brand (Oxo, Williams Sonoma, etc). This thing is junk.

(More customer reviews)I learned about the effectiveness of this product on "America's Test Kitchen," and the product review on cooksillustrated.com in an article discussing citrus juicers and reamers. Part of the review is copied here, since it's a subscription site, I can't just link it!
"After testing nine models, I found that the better models have a pointed tip, which effectively pierces the core of the lemon and grabs hold. Without the pointed tip, the lemon slips right off the head. The second important feature is the sharpness of the ridges. Those with sharp, pointed ridges "gripped" the lemon well, making it easy to extract maximum juice with minimum effort, while those with rounded ridges caused the lemon to slide around, making for difficult juicing.
The two winners of our tests were the plastic Oxo Good Grips Citrus Juicer ($11.99) and the Fox Run Wood Lemon Reamer ($2.99). They both juiced lemons quickly and efficiently. The first time I used it was on small limes, so the thinner skin probably didn't stress it as much. Such a high stress part really should have been made of something much stronger (perhaps stainless steel).
