(More customer reviews)The claim that this product is environmentally friendly is rubbish. Its powered by a battery, it just happens to be a copper-zinc battery which uses water as a conductor. After a year or so the zinc strip completely corrodes away leaving you with a piece of plastic which doesn't work and you can't replace the batteries so you have to bin it. Not so environmentally friendly now is it?!
Having said that it works well as a clock for a while and it looks quite funky.
