(More customer reviews)Works extremely well, to the point that it attracts (and traps) so many yellowjackets that it unfortunately needs frequent emptying. However, of all the traps I've tried -- and I've tried a number of them -- this is by far the easiest to use and clean, and for lower cost than most traps. Note: I suggest using apple juice in the trap.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product at the local Lowe's store thinking it would catch a few wasps. The first week, the bees and wasps literally disappeared from the area and i didn't catch a thing. After the attractants wore off and the water evaporated, i put apple juice in the top compartment and peanut butter in the bottom and caught about 15-20 wasps in one day and even caught a carpenter bee in the top portion of the trap. I've been averaging 2-5 wasps a day. Don't waste your money on their refills, just use juice in the top compartment and meat or protein in the bottom and you'll save a bundle. Had i not paid $14 for this, i would have dump it and built me a homemade trap using a 1 liter bottle.

(More customer reviews)I've used several different trap types by several manufactures with varied results. These disposable traps outperform even Rescue's reusable traps. Why? I don't know. I do know that these fill up with yellowjackets quickly and consistently while other traps can go all summer and not have to be emptied. I hung two up yesterday and one of the two is already a third full and the other's a little less than a quarter full. I'm allergic and these traps are a blessing.
I recommend diluted apple juice for filling and hang multiple traps in a variety of locations varying the conditions as best as possible. Hang them in bushes and trees for best results. I have not found sun or shade to be much a factor, but breezes are. High wind doesn't work well so if you vary locations, you'll have the best luck of varying the amount of wind the traps are exposed to. Get some soon and get plenty. They fill up FAST.
The video was shot about 24 hours after the trap was hung. This trap doesn't have the diluted apple juice mixture I recommended for maximum effectiveness. This is water only.
