Organic Sprouting Seeds Radish Mix 1 Pound Daikon Radish and Red Rose Radish Review

Organic Sprouting Seeds Radish Mix 1 Pound Daikon Radish and Red Rose Radish

These seeds are reasonably priced and germinate well. Growing them straight, they are a bit too spicy for my taste, so I mix my seeds with broccoli and alfalfa. They're excellent for many purposes including salads, sandwiches and bagel toppings. If you've only had alfalfa sprouts, you're missing the boat. Radish and broccoli sprouts (among others) at home can supply you with your own home-grown organic vegetables over the winter, saving you money and trips to the store, while having fresh tasty and healthy vegetables conveniently growing in your kitchen. For a Japanese salad treat, try radish sprouts with a dash of soy sauce or ginger salad dressing, it's a great side dish with sushi.
The seeds are organic and clean (I didn't see any pebbles or dirt in the bag), shipping was fast, and no excessive packaging was used. Just a good weight polyethylene bag with a twist tie, and a paper label.

Organic Sprouting Seeds - Red Lentils 1 Pound Review

While the lentil seeds sprouted just fine, I ended up with only about half an order due to poor packaging.
I did complain to the Sprout House but heard nothing back. I'll do my seed buying at the store from now on,
I guess.

Sprout Master Mini Triple Review

Sprout Master Mini Triple
Average Reviews:

These smaller sized Sprout Master sprouters are great for smaller batches of leafy sprouts or bean sprouts. The optional tray dividers makes it easy to make small batches of as many as six different sprouts at a time. The larger tray would be better for big batches, but using these trays in concert can achieve the same effect. For most people (not feeding too large a family), I would suggest starting out with these and evaluating whether you often want to make larger batches than you can manage in a single smaller tray.
There are four "lids" that come with this set and are all exactly the same. Put one below to catch any water and use the one on top if you want to block off light (this helps prevent the growth of green leaves, which is usually how bean sprouts are grown). With four lids and three trays you'll find it necessary to stack the trays if you want to cover more than one at a time. The Sprout Master's drainage holes allow excess water to drain off very effectively.
If you've sprouted in a jar before, you'll probably find this to be much easier. Hold the tray under running cool water two or three times a day, then allow excess water to run off before putting the tray away. The sprouts should be thoroughly rinsed to prevent spoilage, kept moist at all times, but not allowed to sit in water. (By comparison, with jar sprouting you'd need to fill and drain the jar of sprouts repeatedly to rinse the sprouts well, then it's more difficult to get them properly drained.)
One minor complaint is that some of the smallest seeds can get caught in the drain holes. In my experience, broccoli is large enough to be safe, but with alfalfa or clover you might get a few seeds stuck. When you're cleaning the tray after use you may need to get a small poking instrument to knock one or two out again. The "Easy Sprouter" device doesn't have this problem, but allows slightly less light to reach your sprouts because of it's shape. Neither is a very significant complaint, and I find that the Easy Sprouter gets sufficient light for most purposes.

If you've never grown your own sprouts, you're missing something wonderful. Takes a few days, but the taste is incomparable and they're always fresh. Note that you don't need any fancy sprouting equipment; you can do just as well with a jar, some cheesecloth, and a rubber band.

Sprout Master Single Sprouter Review

This is the larger size of the Sprout Master sprouter, great for larger batches of leafy sprouts or bean sprouts. The optional tray divider makes it easy to make larger batches or separate smaller sprout batches. Half of this tray still has more capacity than the whole of one of the Sprout Master small trays. If you're growing for one or two people I would recommend the "Sprout Master Mini Triple" instead. Coming with three trays the mini triple would allow you to grow a more diverse or more staggered crop.
The two "lids" that come with this tray are exactly the same. Put one below to catch any water and use the one on top if you want to block off light (this helps prevent the growth of green leaves, which is usually how bean sprouts are grown). Live Healthier: Life giving sprouts contain live enzymes necessary for the digestive process. They contain few if any calories and no cholesterol. Sprouts are one of the highest sources of fiber and chlorophyll. Sprouts contain the highest and purest forms of vitamins, proteins, trace minerals and nutrients necessary for a long healthy life. Sprout Master has the following advantages over other sprouters: does not sour the sprouts; several sprouters can be stacked with the tray lid in place without losing necessary air circulation; the rectangular shape allows for much better cabinet and refrigerator storage without sacrificing as much as one inch in the volume of your harvest; a removable divider in the middle makes it possible to grow a half crop, a full crop or two different crops at the same time. With a lid placed under the bottom as a drip tray and a lid placed over the top, your sprouts will stay crisper longer in the refrigerator without losing vitamins or souring. Disassembles quickly for easy cleaning. These trays measure 8 inches x 10 inches.

Have started sprouting again and am enjoying these seeds. I use them in my salads and sandwiches. They add a good crunch and help with a flavor bite. The amount of radish seeds seem to give the right spice to the mixture.

Organic Sprouting Seeds Red Cabbage 16 Ounces Review

Very easy process: Use a mason jar. You don't need the lid, just the
seal. You'll also need a nylon (cheesecloth, etc) and
a rubberband.
Put a couple tablespoonfuls of seeds in the jar and fill it
with water. Then Cover the end of the jar with nylon, put seal
on and put a rubberband around it. Now swish the water around
to get all the seeds wet and dump the water out through the nylon.
Kind of shake the jar to spread out the seeds on the bottom (actually,
the side) of the mason jar. So the mason jar will be laying lengthwise
on your coutertop. Twice a day fill the jar with water , swish, and
dump out the water; then redistribute the seeds again so they're spread
out along the mason jar. Put in front of a sunny window a few hrs each
day. Ready to eat in about 5 days. So much nicer than buying them at the store and wondering how long they've been sitting on a shelf.
