Snow River Reversible Carving Board with Juice Groove Review

(More customer reviews)I was in desperate need of a new carving board and I only use wood. After careful research and reviewing other reviews; I purchased this board. The size is excellent and it is reversible; however there is no way to keep the board intact without it sliding. As I am a professional cook; I did what I normally do at work; I put a wet rag under it to hold it intact. Works well; until you remove the rag and let the board dry and "breathe." Within a few hours the board cracked and split on the backside. It warped. Considering the price; I would not recommend it. I still use it; but have had to make adjustments; such as using a dry rag; but it is warped. Very disappointed.

A deep built-in trough on top captures juices, keeping tables and counters clean, while the groove-less flip side is flat and can be used as a pastry/prep board or for a variety of other tasks. A finger-grip edge makes it easy to lift and move the board wherever needed. Handcrafted in the USA of solid northern maple hardwood, the board is dried in a process to ensure consistent moisture content critical in avoiding wood cracks and splitting. It measures 14 by 21 inches and is 1-1/4 inches high.
