I do however own the same model with the "acrylic" cylinder. I opted for the acrylic cylinder model, as it allows the dispenser to be used out doors as well. Both models offer the exact same features and design. However, the "acrylic" cylinder model is $35.00 less expensive. Keep in mind, neither the glass or the acrylic models have a center fill ice cylinder, allowing the beverage to remain cold. I personally find frozen fruit not only does the trick. But looks fantastic as well. Depending on the beverage being dispensed, the variety of frozen fruit one can use is really unlimited. I find frozen strawberries, quartered lemons, limes, oranges, and even whole cranberries look fantastic, and work very well in keeping beverages chilled, for several hours.
